It was long, somewhat hard, and very fun. Phrasing! A total of 550 km and lots of twisties. Route map after the jump.

This Monday is Civic Holiday up here in Canuckistan so what better thing to do with the long weekend then get away for a bit? I took off around noon in hopes of avoiding a morning rush of cottage-goers and the cops.

I ended up doing this loop (start/finish at point D) which Google assures me is 240 km. It was my first time taking the ZX-6 on actual twisties and I got to try out my corner control. I hope to do an introductory track class in September so it was good to get familiar with the bike.

Here are the two other pics I took. They’re both in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario... a very typical scene for the area. Still nice though!

See man you’re always working... Next (or an upcoming) weekend I want to do this route but also go through Algonquin on hwy 60. You have any free time to make a trip out of it?

I imagine you had basically the same weather we had in Montreal this weekend, so you had an AMAZING day for riding.

I would normally complain about not getting the Aug long weekend here in Quebec, but since I’m on vacation already I’ll keep it to myself this time!

Well damn. You went through my home town on that trip. Very nice weather for a trip, and nice roads too.

It’s weird, I don’t recall ever getting this day off at any of the previous companies I worked at. I didn’t even mark it in my calendar and found out late last week. Enjoy your vacay!

You’re lucky if you lived somewhere there! Getting to that area from Toronto is a hassle at best, and downright disgusting if there’s traffic.

It really was nice. Grew up in Haliburton County. It’s a big difference, and I’m only in Whitby for now. I couldn’t imagine Toronto.
